Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design

Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design at UT San Antonio is home to more than 4,400 students and over 175 faculty members. As one of the largest and fastest growing colleges on campus, academic degrees offered include 9 undergraduate majors, 15 master's degrees, 6 doctoral degrees, and 8 certificate programs. Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Industrial Engineering

The Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Industrial Engineering currently has 26 full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty (7 endowed chairs), 8 full-time non-tenure track faculty, and 1100 undergraduate, 55 M.S., and 65 Ph.D. students, with the doctoral program jointly offered by Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). In addition to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering, the department offers an M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering and an M.S. degree in Advanced Manufacturing and Enterprise Engineering, a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, which is ABET accredited, and a B.S. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. UTSA is committed to growth in student opportunities, as indicated by the $95 million Science and Engineering building completed in summer 2020. Salary Range: $6,000 per course.

Job Type: Part Time, 3 credit hour course.


Position Summary

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses that are part of the Mechanical Engineering curriculum. The immediate need is to teach Dynamics (3 credit hours). Mentorship and onboarding support will be provided for the position, and potentially an on-site office based on availability.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have a conferred M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment.
Evidence of integrating technology into instruction, online and in-person teaching, or using other emerging technologies.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of University students and be committed to supporting the University's mission and values.
Expertise in the profession of mechanical engineering will be considered.
This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
