Summary
The Baylor Teen Health Clinic currently provides pregnancy testing, family planning, sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and HIV/AIDS education and screening, primary healthcare, and case management services to teens, their partners, and adolescents in Harris County. The clinics provide services to teens from the age of 13-24.
Services We Provide:
• Comprehensive Exams (Male & Female)
• Gynecological services
• Birth control and family planning
• Sexually transmitted disease screening and treatment
• Primary healthcare
• Immunizations
• HIV/AIDS education and screening
The Coordinator, Patient Support Services will work in one of eight clinic locations. Each clinic is typically staffed with a Patient Support Services Coordinator, A Medical Assistant a Nurse (RN or LVN) and a Nurse Practitioner.
This position is located at our Lawn Clinic. This location offers free parking.
Job Duties
- Greets, orients and answers patients questions.
- Schedules and coordinates patient appointments and visits, including telemedicine.
- Records patient arrival in Practice Suite and and makes followup appointments as required.
- Prepares and maintains daily appointment schedules and collects necessary patient information.
- Acts as a front line representative, records and maintains reports and data to support operational activities.
- Completes documentation, applications and eligibility.
- Processes enrollment applications and performs data entry timely, accurately and in compliance with State and Federal standards and guidelines.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Experience working with adolescents.
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office applicaitons.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
