CHRISTUS Children's, a world-class 240-bed freestanding children's hospital in San Antonio, serves as a focal point for pediatric services throughout the community. In 2013, CHRISTUS Health finalized an agreement partnering with Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) to recruit, employ, and oversee physicians and advanced practice providers at CHRISTUS Children's.

Summary
The Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the Baylor College of Medicine and CHRISTUS Children's is seeking to recruit a full-time board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Nephrologist to join a group of 2 Nephrologists at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Academic rank and tenure status will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. Includes a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, a competitive salary, and a full benefits package.
Job Duties
- The successful candidate will be expected to provide pediatric nephrology services in the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings.
- The candidate will provide renal replacement therapies and related extracorporeal therapies, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, and therapeutic plasma exchange.
- Candidates must possess strong clinical and teaching skills and are expected to engage in scholarly activities.
- Our outpatient nephrology clinics are located at the main hospital and at two satellite locations. Responsibilities include teaching residents, medical students, and staff, active involvement in quality, safety, and administrative activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- M.D., Ph.D. / M.D. / D.O. degree
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board.
- Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics.
