Job Description
Summary
The Postgraduate Intern will support and participate in clinical research within the Urology department, with a focus on Sexual Medicine and Andrology. This internship provides hands-on training in the design, management, and execution of clinical trials, as well as scientific writing and presentation. The intern will work closely with faculty and medical students to conduct research, mentor junior trainees, and disseminate findings through abstracts, national conference presentations, and peer-reviewed publications.
Job Purpose
Provides temporary administrative or laboratory support to a department while gaining practical work experience.
Job Duties
- Assist in the creation, troubleshooting, and management of prospective clinical research studies
- Support the development and execution of clinical trials in a urology research setting
- Mentor and assist medical students with assigned research projects
- Participate in and help lead monthly research meetings with medical students
- Draft, edit, and prepare scientific abstracts for submission to national conferences
- Present research findings at national scientific meetings
- Write and contribute to manuscripts for publication in urological and scientific journals
- May assists with special projects/programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.
