Job Summary
This role leads the planning and execution of key alumni events, such as Alumni Weekend, managing logistics, vendor coordination, budgeting, and post-event follow-up. It serves as the primary liaison for alumni engagement within specific colleges and schools, building relationships with faculty and promoting involvement. The position oversees alumni receptions, develops new event initiatives, secures sponsorships, and tracks engagement metrics to assess impact and inform strategy. Proficiency in CRM systems like Raiser's Edge is required for managing alumni data and interactions. Additionally, the role supports the development of alumni programs which require travel and other duties as needed.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Major Event Planning and Execution
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of key alumni events, including Alumni Weekend, in collaboration with the Director of Alumni Engagement and the alumni society board. Manage logistics such as vendor coordination, volunteer support, communications, budget, and post event follow-up, while initiating new ideas to increase alumni participation and event success.
Alumni Engagement and College/School Liaison
Manage alumni engagement efforts within specific colleges and schools, acting as the main liaison to ensure alignment with overall alumni goals. Build and nurture relationships with faculty to identify opportunities for alumni involvement, fostering stronger ties between alumni and their respective colleges/schools, and increasing awareness of the college's impact.
Event Coordination and Sponsorships
Oversee the planning and execution of alumni receptions and engagement events, including the annual AU Brew N Que. Collaborate with the Director of Alumni Engagement to develop new event initiatives, secure sponsorships, and ensure smooth execution, creating opportunities for alumni to reconnect and engage with the institution.
Engagement Metrics and Impact Assessment
Track, analyze, and report on alumni engagement metrics, including ROI, attendance, volunteer involvement, and overall impact, to measure success and inform strategic decisions. Provide quarterly reports to support continuous improvements in alumni engagement programming and future event planning.
CRM Data Management and Alumni Interaction Tracking
Utilize the CRM system (e.g., Raiser's Edge) to track alumni interactions and ensure data integrity. Manage and update constituent data to provide real-time insights that inform engagement strategies, support event planning, and improve the accuracy of alumni outreach efforts.
Strategic Program Development and Alumni Outreach
Collaborate with the Director of Alumni Engagement to develop and implement alumni programs based on data insights. Leverage alumni database tools and engagement metrics to drive program execution, track participation, and ensure alignment with strategic goals to maximize alumni involvement and impact.
Additional Duties and Travel
Perform other duties as assigned, with travel required to support alumni engagement efforts and events.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum of 3 years experience in higher education or non-profit organization, specifically experience in alumni engagement, volunteer management, and event planning or with 5 or more years of experience/training in alumni engagement, sales, marketing or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university with five or more years alumni engagement experience in higher education or non-profit organization, specifically experience in alumni engagement, volunteer management, and event planning.

- Knowledge of alumni engagement programs and alumni board management.
- Knowledge of standard event management tasks and resources.
SKILLS
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal/written communications skills, attention to detail and analytical abilities.
- A high energy level, integrity and sincerity.
- Requires adaptability, good judgement, and initiative.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)
Pay Band: B11
Salary Range: $56,600/annually - $72,200/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment
