Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

We are seeking a dedicated LVN to join our team in Arcadia. Under the supervision of a licensed provider or RN, the LVN supports patient care by collecting and reporting clinical data and monitoring patients’ medical conditions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to various healthcare settings. All duties contribute to providing high-quality, compassionate care across all age groups while promoting a positive work environment.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Patient Preparation & Support: Prepare patient charts, gathers vital signs, and conduct initial medical screenings; assist in exam rooms and communicate updates or delays to patients.
  • Clinical Procedures: Administer medications, immunizations, and basic nursing care; perform phlebotomy, triage support, CVAD care (if certified), and assist with minor procedures under provider/RN supervision.
  • Workflow & Team Collaboration: Support clinic operations through clerical duties, patient flow coordination, and communication between providers and patients, including translation if needed.
  • Safety, Cleanliness & Compliance: Maintain infection control standards, organize clinical areas, stocks supplies, handle instruments properly, and ensure compliance with PHI and safety protocols.
  • Documentation & EHR Support: Accurately document care, enters orders, tracks lab results, and perform all duties in support of efficient Electronic Health Record (EHR) use.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training, educational programs, and maintain annual competencies and adherence to nursing standards of practice.

Your qualifications should include:

  • High school graduate (or GED) required.
  • Greater than 1 year work experience as an LVN or New graduate from accredited licensed vocational nurse program with > 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in the same specialty setting.
  • Current LVN licensure in the State of California
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $26.72 - $40.09 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
