Summary
The Research Associate - Abdominal Transplant will play a critical role in advancing the Transplant Institute’s mission to advance groundbreaking research, enhance patient care, and education. Ideal candidate will be self-directed, organized and strong with developing manuscripts and grant applications.
Job Duties
- Assists the PIs to develop, edit, and review grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents.
- Plans, directs and conducts research experiments.
- Evaluates and analyzes patient related research data.
- Develops research techniques and performs applications required for specific research projects.
- May conduct literature searches and summarize information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
- Develops and published manuscripts.
- Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
- Writes reports for government, foundations and/or other sponsors.
- May supervise, schedule and coordinate the activities of less experienced research staff.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field.Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
- Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree
