Job Summary
Provides strategic leadership and directs all student-facing programs in the Hull College of Business, including undergraduate and graduate engagement, leadership development, orientation, retention, and career readiness. Designs and oversees co-curricular initiatives aligned with Hull College's mission and Augusta University's strategic enrollment goals. Leads the development and supervises execution of student success strategies grounded in data analysis and continuous improvement. Assesses enrollment, retention, progression, and graduation trends; monitors internship and co-curricular participation; and supports data-driven decisions to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
BUSINESS STUDENT RECRUITMENT, RETENTION, AND ENGAGEMENT:
Lead and supervise the collection and analysis of student success data including enrollment, retention, co-curricular engagement, career readiness benchmarking, internship-to-job conversion, and post-graduation outcomes. Develop dashboards to track KPls and inform strategic decisions in real time.
Integrate disaggregated student success data into planning and performance cycles, applying an equity lens and providing regular data-driven updates to leadership to inform strategic decisions.
Integrate disaggregated student success data into planning and performance cycles to identify access and success gaps, inform strategic priorities, and deliver regular data-driven updates to the Dean and senior leadership.
Design and lead student engagement strategies that foster belonging and identity development, with targeted outreach to wide-ranging student populations through signature events and developmental programming.
Oversee and assess Hull College student organizations, ensuring strong advising, financial transparency, and leadership development structures that align with student-centered programming.
Integrate co-curricular learning into student experiences by emphasizing transferable skills and engagement, using data and partnerships to close gaps, support academic success, and strengthen Hull College community identity.
COLLEGE STRATEGIC PLANNING, ALIGNMENT, AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:
Serves as co-chair of the Hull College strategic planning process, leads development, implementation, and assessment of strategic goals, with primary responsibility for all student- and community-facing initiatives that drive enrollment, engagement, retention, and career outcomes.
Leads operationalization of strategic priorities by translating high-level objectives into actionable project plans, milestones, and annual performance targets. Ensure alignment of co-curricular programs with the academic mission by integrating leadership development, career readiness, and student engagement efforts with AACSB standards and evolving workforce demands.
Collaborate with the Dean and senior leadership to align all student-facing functions with Augusta University's strategic priorities, including access, equity, and graduate preparedness. Establish a continuous improvement framework by integrating post-event feedback, stakeholder input, student learning assessments, and labor market data into planning, program design, and annual reporting.
Anticipate shifts in student demand and scale programs, accordingly, adapting engagement models, resource allocation, and delivery methods to ensure equitable, high-impact support for undergraduate and graduate students. Support institutional planning and accreditation by producing evidence of program effectiveness, learning outcomes, and alignment with best practices in business education.
Develop, manage, and execute all programming budgets that support student engagement, leadership development, orientation, and employer partnership initiatives. Lead the annual budget planning cycle for student-facing activities, aligning resource allocation with enrollment targets, retention goals, and career readiness outcomes.
Oversee all resourcing events, marketing, co-curricular programs, and student support services, ensuring efficiency, equity, and strategic alignment. Monitor expenditure throughout the fiscal year, maintain documentation, and prepare mid-year and year-end budget reports to guide planning and reallocation. Evaluate ROI of key initiatives using data and feedback to inform budgeting. Collaborate with leadership to ensure financial compliance, advocate for strategic funding, and align budgets with innovation, scalability, and student support.
BUSINESS STUDENT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENT:
Plan, resource, synchronize and lead employer engagement initiatives that prepare students for internships, careers, and graduate study, while cultivating strategic partnerships to expand access to career pathways and mentorship.
Design and oversee professional development programs, including panels, site visits, and recruitment events while supervising staff managing employer engagement, event coordination, and career opportunity tracking.
Develop systems to track career outcomes and internship-to-job conversions, align employer engagement strategies with curricular and co-curricular experiences that reflect industry expectations and trends.
Lead engagement with the Hull Executive Advisory Board and Next-Gen Advisory Board for career mentorship, employer connections, and feedback on workforce needs.
Plan, resources, synchronize and lead alumni engagement efforts to support student mentoring, networking, and career placement, collaborating with advisory boards to integrate alumni into professional development programming and strategic initiatives.
CAMPUS COLLABORATION AND STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION:
Serve as primary liaison for Hull student-facing programs, coordinating with AU Career Services and campus partners to integrate students into university-wide pipelines and support services.
Collaborate across departments to strengthen student support systems, reduce barriers to success, and represent Hull College on institutional committees focused on retention, planning, and co-curricular innovation.
Lead and supervise development and execution of student-facing communication strategy, oversee marketing, digital outreach, and branding to ensure clear, consistent messaging and strong visibility across Hull College programs and initiatives.
Supervise the communications strategist and lead a coordinated outreach calendar, ensuring data-informed messaging across web, digital, and print platforms that support engagement, access, and institutional alignment.
TEAM SUPERVISION AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT:
Provide direct leadership and supervision for a team of five professional staff; three program coordinators, one program manager, and one communications strategist. Oversee staffing operations including recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, performance evaluation, and realignment as needed.
Foster a high-performing, vast team culture grounded in transparency, accountability, and collaboration. Conduct regular 1 :1s and team meetings; develop annual work plans and individual development plans (IDPs) to support professional growth, strategic alignment, and talent retention.
Lead implementation of student engagement programs, ensuring role clarity, effective delegation, and shared accountability. Provide targeted coaching and promote cross-training, networking, and leadership opportunities to elevate staff performance and model student-centered excellence.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, Counseling, or related field with two years of experience in Higher Education or Academic Setting.

Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Experience
Academic understanding and experience working with students in a college setting. Experience in student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field. Experience with academic resources, working knowledge of systems and programs pertaining to student recruitment and engagement.

KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and tools such Tableau, Power BI, and CRM platforms.
Knowledge of student development theory, co-curricular learning, and engagement strategies.
Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Experience in student affairs, higher education administration, or related fields.

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (Work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: 15
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum midpoint) of the position.
